Highlights of 2009

In April My sister had her second son.
Ryan and his new brother Jacob.

Maple Lake
June camping at Maple Lake. School's out, time to relax. We love it.
Then off to Lake Tahoe for my sister's wedding.
We love you Katie and Brent. Congratulations to two wonderful people that we adore.
So glad that you are a part of the family Brent.
Such a fabulous day.

Sisters by chance, friends by choice. I love you!

The Girls.

It's not often the Duncan's get together. Memorable moment.

Make a wish Katelyn. A decade old, enjoy every moment.

What would the year be without dressing up in costume. Why is is so much fun? Happy Halloween!
Our niece, Jill Carter, was married to Craig Butler in the Oquirh Mountain, Utah Temple. Congratulation to an amazing couple. Welcome to the family Craig.

Wow! Thanksgiving, what can I say? A first for our family. Kyle home from Iraq, all together for the first time since my brother and sister have been married and had children. There really isn't anything like family. I love you guys.
All together for Thanksgiving.

Curtis and Jenna and I were in the Nutcracker Ballet during the Christmas season of 2009. I can't even explain how much fun that was for me. It was a childhood dream come true. Of course in my dreams I was always the lead dancer, Claira, but to be on the stage with those talented dancers was pretty much amazing. Anytime I can bring a tear to my dad's eye is good enough for me.

Christmas 2008

It has been a cold, snowy December in Utah. Just the way we like for the holidays. If it would just warm up by February we might make it through the winter. Not likely I know. Hope you all have a very Happy New Year.
I took Jenna and Katelyn sledding with their cousins the day after Christmas.

Thanksgiving in Nevada

Okay, let me explain. When the women have been in the kitchen ALL DAY they get a bit wild, maybe even CrAzY! Katie knows how to spice up the holidays.
Great Grandma Duncan is 97 now and doing well physically for her age. She was a bit confused as to who we were but we were glad we could see her this year. We love you Grandma.

Katelyn's 9th Birthday

Katelyn turned 9 on September 24th. She partied with best friends Loryn and Hannah.

Salt Lake City Get Together

In September my brother Kyle moved his family to Utah before leaving for Iraq for a year. He left in October and we miss him so much. We spent some time just hanging out at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Little Ryleigh was sad so Aunt Holly had to give her some lovin' so she would feel better. We had some good laughs together.
Grandma with all her grand kids. I love this picture of the gang.

Sisterly love. We miss you Gaga!

A New School Year

The first day of the 2008-2009 school year on a bright, early morning,Wednesday, August 20th. Jenna is in 6th grade and Katelyn in 3rd. I've been in 1st grade for the past four years. You'd think they'd let me graduate. Lexi's a sophomore in high school and out the door with friends too fast for a picture. I wouldn't want to embarrass her or anything (only everyday of her life, it's what I live for). I'm confused, isn't it still summer. Why are we back so soon? It will be Christmas before we know it.

Utah (mini) Family Reunion

The New City Pool "The Bucket"
Saturday the 16th we had a small family reunion with two of Curtis's four sisters and their families. Carolyn and Kent were there with four of their five kids (Cami, Nicole, Justin and Ashley). We missed you Jill. Janice and Randy brought their three kids (Ceelie, Jared and Samantha). We spent the afternoon at our new water park and pool. We then picnicked at our local park for dinner.
The Whole Gang!
Jenna and Katelyn in the lazy river.
Grandpa with hat and a piece of pizza.
The new pool is about 2 miles down the bike trail from our home. We have been spending many Saturdays in the water this year. It has been fun to spend family time in the sun. It might be the closest I get to a mock beach this year. I know, doesn't quite cut it. Picnic Dinner Menu -
Chicken, buttermilk biscuits, potato salad, green salad, blueberry salad, watermelon, chips, and sodas, fruit popsicles and fudge popsicles. Yummmy
The kids table. No........the cousins table.
Looks good! My man is a funny one. Nice face Curt!
